Five Phases. One Summer.
This is a structured program — not a gig. Every phase builds on the last. By the time you're painting your first house, you've already built the business around it.
Before you knock on a single door, you know your market cold. February training covers everything you need to generate leads, estimate projects accurately, and close customers with confidence. You'll learn the VRSTY sales system, pricing methodology, and how to present a professional estimate — on the spot, in writing, every time.
By late March you're in the field selling — and you're also learning to run the back end of a real business. Production training covers building a production schedule, sourcing and interviewing employees, assembling your crew, and managing the operational side of a painting company. You'll know how to hire before you need to.
You can't lead a crew through something you haven't done yourself. The first week of summer, Branch Managers paint their first house alongside VRSTY leadership and fellow BMs from across the program. You learn the craft from the ground up — prep work, priming, application, cleanup, and quality standards. When your crew shows up, you know what right looks like.
This is it. You've sold your pipeline, trained your crew, and built the business. Now you run it. Mid to late May your branch officially launches production. The training doesn't stop — but now it runs in parallel with a real business operating in real time. This is where everything you've built gets tested. This is where Branch Managers are made.
Just because your business is running doesn't mean your training is over. Throughout the summer, Branch Managers participate in bi-weekly training sessions covering advanced sales techniques, financial management, leadership development, and peer learning from other BMs across the program. Your best learning happens when your business is live and the stakes are real.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The sooner you apply, the sooner you start.
